FC 27 will officially launch on September 25th, and the current beta version has already sparked considerable discussion in the community. Many players have begun to explore the new version’s gameplay and control changes.
While the performance in beta may not represent the final version, especially some gameplay settings, which may be adjusted before or after launch, this doesn’t mean you should do nothing now.
If you’re still using the default settings from FC 26, IGGM.com recommends familiarizing yourself with the following settings first, and then making final adjustments based on your actual gameplay experience after EA FC 27 launches.

Shooting
If you’re currently using Assisted Shooting, consider switching to Precision Shooting in advance. Compared to the default assisted shooting, Precision Shooting offers greater aiming freedom, allowing for more precise control over shot direction and angle, better suited to the offensive rhythm of FC 27.
While it has a higher learning curve, once mastered, it delivers more consistent and targeted shooting results, giving you an advantage in high-level matches. Accumulating more FC 27 coins will also help you refine your lineup more quickly, providing more room for error.
Defending
Defending is one of the most noteworthy settings in FC 27. Advanced Defending offers more manual control, aligning better with FUT 27’s manual defense approach. However, the defensive intensity in the game after launch and whether Advanced Defending will become the final meta are still uncertain.
You can familiarize yourself with this setting now, and after launch, compare Advanced Defending and Tactical Defending based on actual gameplay to choose the method that best suits you.
Defending settings are only one part of preparing for FUT 27; the defensive player themselves are equally important. If you want to build your Ultimate Team faster after launch, you can buy FC 27 Coins from IGGM.com. We offer the best price, allowing you to focus more on the game experience.
Switching
Switching is a setting you need to pay close attention. Switching to the wrong player in EA FC 27 matches can be incredibly frustrating. First, regarding Auto Switching move assistance, IGGM.com prioritizes low. The biggest problem with High isn’t that it’s bad, but that it sometimes makes you take an extra step.
You’ve just switched to a defender, but the player continues. By the time you regain control, the space you should have blocked has been exposed. Low is much easier to control. If you find even Low too much movement, just try None.
For Right Stick Switching, I recommend Classic. Adaptive does give you more options, but in actual defense, pushing the right stick doesn’t immediately switch to the player you want. Classic is simpler in logic and easier to develop muscle memory for. Especially when repeatedly cutting into defenders near the penalty area, I feel stability is more important than a wider selection range.
For Next Player Switching, you can choose Closest to Ball. In most FIFA 27 defensive situations, your first instinct is to control the player closest to the ball, so this setting aligns with normal defensive logic. However, if you prefer to protect the space behind you earlier, you can also try Goal Side.
Player Lock
FC 27 trailer has already showcased Curve Run, which may change the frequency of Player Lock usage. If Curve Run ultimately allows you to more easily adjust player movement, many operations that previously relied on Player Lock may become simpler.
I don’t think Curve Run necessarily replaces Player Lock. This feature is more about helping you adjust your running routes, while Player Lock gives you more direct control. In the later stages of the game, or when precise control of a second player is needed, Player Lock may still be more reliable than simply relying on Curve Run.
Analog Sprint
Analog Sprint setting isn’t entirely useless in FC 27, but I don’t think its benefits are as significant as expected. Many players already possess high pace, and with the addition of PlayStyles like Rapid and Technical, their movement and changes of direction during matches are already fast enough.
Instead of trading Analog Sprint for a little extra speed control, it’s better to use FUT coins to acquire better players. More importantly, you’ll need simpler Sprint controls in the early stages of FIFA 27. With Analog Sprint disabled, holding R2 accelerates and releasing it decelerates; you no longer need to consider the pressure applied to Sprint Button.
Of course, if you’re already used to Analog Sprint, there’s no need to force a change for FC 27. IGGM.com’s advice is primarily for players still using the default settings or who often find player acceleration difficult to control.
Camera
If FIFA 27 continues to emphasize faster attacking transitions and more movement, being able to see teammates and defenders earlier is crucial. The camera can directly affect your judgment of the entire field.
If you primarily play Ultimate Team, try Competitive Camera first. It gives you a wider field of vision, allowing you to see wingers, keepers on the far side, and teammates making runs earlier. This visual advantage is extremely important; many passing opportunities are missed before you even see them.
If you’re not used to Competitive Camera, Co-Op Camera is also a safe choice. You can start with Camera Height 20 and Zoom 0. This setting provides a wide enough field of view without making your player appear too small. Then, fine-tune it based on your screen size and actual feel; there’s no need to pursue the so-called optimal parameters from the beginning.
FC 27 settings are important, but they are ultimately just supplementary. Settings should be adjusted based on your own playing style. Truly useful settings are those that minimize mistakes in matches and provide the most comfortable gameplay.
